I found this out after taking a 750Gb drive out of an external case that had been formatted on my Mac Pro and putting it into a new self-build PC that we were setting up. Vista saw the disk and the partitions on it but couldn't install as it was a GPT disk. Ok, so how do you make it a non-GPT disk then?

You have to take it back out of the PC, put it back in it's external case and re-partition it using Disk Utility on the mac!!!!!!

Microsoft..you gotta love 'em!

Safari Usage Tips

<dc:subject>Blog</dc:subject>

Here's a little something that I found out today, pressing Ctrl, Command (Apple) and D in Safari (OS X, not sure about Windows) gives you a mini popup window with a dictionary defintion or a choice of alternatives from the Thesaurus:

Pretty neat eh? Also if you enable the debug menu in Safari:

defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu Yes

Then you can also produce a list of all the keyboard shortcuts in Safari - for those that are Terminally(sic) challenged you can download a PDF of it here

Upcoming courses

Below is the list of courses we are running in conjunction with our training partners over the next few months (click on a course to see the details at the traning company's site):

Mac OS Custom Advanced Server Techniques, 27th - 29th November, The Corps Business, London
Mac OS 200 - Server Essentials - 11th - 14th December, GBM Digital Tecnologies, Manchester
Mac OS 200 - Server Essentials - 22nd - 25th January, The Corps Business, London
Mac OS 101 - Support Essentials - 28th - 30th January, Symbiosis,Leamington Spa
